Reservation and Cancellation Policies
Reservation Policy
We try our best to make our reservation process work in your favor but we do have a few rules. When you reserve your trip we commit guides and our very important staff of the company (Porters) who load and carry our equipment the day before to make sure you’ll have the best possible activities in Africa. We also turn away other customers who may want to do at the time you chose. In return we ask a few things from you:

Deposits and Payments
By Paypal, card or ur system will collect deposit to hold your reservation depending on the type of tours & the balance shall be paid 2 weeks before or on the day of your activity using our German Bank or BANC ABC or Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe (CBZ) POS machines unless prior arrangement is made with the reservation team to pay on the day of arrival.
Confirmation
At the time you place your tentative reservation, you and our reservationist will set an appropriate CONFIRMATION DATE which will give you time to organize your self, your family, your group and collect their payment.
For all our one day tours
To receive a full refund or to reschedule your trip – cancellations or changes must be made no later than 48 hrs before your trip date. You will be responsible for payment for whatever number you give us on your confirmation date. Your refund can only be made through the same way we received payments.
Accommodation and packages
Groups And Series
61+ days: All or part of the value of rooms reserved maybe cancelled without penalty
46-60 days: prior to arrival: 50% of the value of rooms cancelled
30-45 days: prior to arrival: 75% of the value of rooms cancelled
0-29 days: prior to arrival: 100% of the value of rooms cancelled
FITs
46+ days: prior to arrival: no cancellation fees
30-45 days: prior to arrival: 50% of the value of rooms cancelled
0-29 days: prior to arrival: 100% of the value of rooms cancelled
***Full pre-payment of the accommodation amount is required in order to secure your booking***
Multi-Day Activity Policy
These trips are confirmed upon receiving 20% deposit which is non refundable how ever you may postpone to another date
Rafting Policies
There is no age limit.
Our guides will pay special attention to the younger guests as long as they can swim and fit in our USA made Class V Youth Life Jackets. All age requirements are variable with water levels and conditions, which can only be determined the day before the trip. We do also offer a Class I-II trips for little ones as young as 5 years old, this is below rapid number 18 to rapid number 23. Parents may do all big rapids and our staff will help and bring kids to join the rest for the last 5 or so kilometers.
Weight and height restrictions
There are no weight or height restrictions. However, everyone must be able to fit into a class V PFD (life vest). If you’re worried give us a call.
Other restrictions
We can’t allow anyone to raft pregnant.
If you or someone in your group has health issues consult a physician and let Shockwave Adventures know in advance
Waivers
Everyone who participate in any tour or rafts down the Zambezi River must sign a liability waiver. If anyone in your group is under the age of 18 the waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Alcohol and Drugs
The consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs before or during your Zambezi River rafting trip is prohibited.
Dangerous behavior
Please listen to and obey your guide. Our guides are extremely well trained. They want you to have great fun but they also want everyone to be safe. Our guides reserves the right to remove any individual from any activity or white water rafting trip if their behavior in any way interferes with safety.
